Hello!  Thank you for your interest in my ColourBug & Curves Workshop!


Workshop Descriptive: 
  Two techniques in one class!  First, Linda will guide you through her liberating and fancy free slash ‘n sew technique while making cute colour bugs blocks – no ¼” seams to follow and no rules.

Next, she’ll guide you through sewing perfect curves with her handy tips and tricks - you’re guaranteed to conquer your fear of sewing curves with no tears.  Both techniques come together in one class while making this cute ladybug quilt!

MATERIALS NEEDED FOR CLASS:
Pattern : ColourBug (CW118) By Colourwerx (pattern is complimentary & will be handed out in class)

Fabric Requirements (for the 42” x 60” quilt:)
-- Background Fabrics:  choose (2) fabrics - 1-1/4 yards each
-- ColourBugs (ladybugs): choose (4) fabrics - 1/4 yard each
-- ColourBug Body & Head - Choose black - 1/4 yard
-- Leaves: Choose 3-4 greens - 1/4 yard each
-- Stems & Binding: 3/4 yard
-- Template Plastic or Heavy Cardboard to make the Curve & L Template Shapes

You will also need these other sewing items to complete this project:
-- Sewing Machine in good working condition - please bring your manual, cord, foot pedal and presser feet (unless one is provided to you in class)
-- Basic Sewing Supplies such as: straight pins, scissors, marking pencil or pen; seam ripper, etc...
-- 100% Cotton 50 weight Neutral Color Thread for Piecing (Aurifil or Superior Masterpiece preferred)

Prep Instructions Before Class -
Please prepare the following before class:
-- Cut at least (2) colour bugs + background fabrics from your fabrics prior to class:
    -- For (1) ColourBug Block,  cut the following:
        -- Wings & Antenna: (2) 5” x 6-1/4” rectangles & (2) 1-1/2” x 5” strips
        -- Body & Head: (1) 2” x 5” strip & (1) 2” x 6-1/4” strip
        -- Background:
            -- (2) 3” x 3” squares         -- (2) 2” x 5” strips
            -- (1) 4” x 4” square           -- (2) 5-1/2” x 6-1/2” rectangles
            -- (2) 1” x 9-1/2” strips       -- (2) 1” x 11-1/2” strips
(repeat the above cuts X the # of colour bugs)

-- We will cut the shape templates and fabrics for the leaves and backgrounds in class
