Wonky Piecing, Easy Appliqué ModDog

Slash ‘n sew piecing, off-kilter stitching and easy machine appliqué make this a fun and stress free workshop. Students will learn wonky piecing techniques to form a fabric collage of colours and the basics of fusible machine appliqué while making this cute and playful pup with a modern attitude. The project finishes easily into a  12” x 16” pillow or wallhanging.

Quick Slash ‘n Sew Pillows
Students will love how liberating, fast, fun and easy to piece these slash ‘n sew pillows are!  Under Linda’s guidance and with a few tips and tricks along the way, students will learn a variety of stress free slash ‘n sew blocks (like her signature slash ‘n sew 4 -patch) while making this
20” wonkystep down improv pillow.

Got Colour? Lecture

Boost your colour confidence and learn to use every colour of the rainbow in your quilts.   Linda will discuss the basics of colour theory, demonstrate colour concepts, mood boards and share her tips and tricks on how to find colour inspiration in everyday objects to inspire, infuse and ignite the colour in your next quilting project.

Colourwerx Trunk Show

Who would have guessed that a professional from television would discover her life long passion in quilting and go on to create a new career, own a quilt shop and design a line of best selling patterns?  In this one hour lecture, Linda - along with  her partner, Carl -  will take you on their colourful, crazy, quilty journey that started some 16 years ago with the very first Linderella quilt designs to their current obsession for pure colour within their new company, Colourwerx. Lots of show & tell and lots of quilts!

Cut Loose and Fancy Free Piecing

Students will learn this liberating, cut loose and fancy free style of piecing - no exact seams, no templates. no measurements and best of all, no stress - just slash, sew and go!  While making this retro 12” ModTV block, Linda will guide students through her unconventional, free form and most importantly, fun style of improv piecing, sharing lots of tips and tricks along the way.  She’ll also demo ways to finish off this little project into the full quilt of the same name, as a wallhanging with fussy cut fabric or as a memory pillow project using photo fabric and a favorite family picture in the TV screen.

Precision Pieced Spikey Workshop

Coloured triangles create a swirling 3-D effect on this modern and contemporary project!  With Linda’s guidance, this workshop gives beginners and advanced piecers the opportunity to perfect their 1/4” seam and fine tune piecing skills while creating these vertical rows of swirling coloured spikes.  Students can choose to create the mini wallhanging or sleek table runner in class.

Cosmos Liberated Strip Piecing &
No Fear Curves Workshop

Liberated slash ‘n sew strips come together in a traditional drunkard’s path block to form this gorgeous, strippy, 22 inch diameter Comsos circle. This workshop is perfect for beginning or advanced students to learn  fun, easy  and wonky strip piecing while conquering their fear of sewing curves with Linda’s easy tips and tricks.
